There’s some bad karma floating around London at the mom

ent. First to get hit were Arsenal, who lost winger Theo Walcott for up to three months; now Tottenham have joined them in the bad karma bin. They’ll be without Luka Modric for a critical part of the season!

The Croatian was unable to car

ry on after half-time in Tottenham’s 2-1 defeat to Fulham at Craven Cottage, the first reversal for the club since Harry Redknapp took over from the departing Juande Ramos.

A say
ment on the club’s official website read: “An MRI scan has revealed that Luka Modric has suffered a partially torn groin muscle.

“He was forced off with the injury at half-time in Saturday’s match with Fulham and is anticipate
ed to be sidelined for up to two weeks.”

Modric has been in exceptional form since Redknapp rejuvenated a moribund season for Tottenham after struggling to adapt to the hurly-burly of the Premier League early on and he’ll
be missed as Tottenham attempt to haul themselves back out of the relegation zone. (Telegraph)

Modric’s loss will certainly hurt Tottenham who at the mom

ent find themselves locked in a Premier League battle to get out of the relegation battle. The Croatian’s impact was zero when he moved to the club this summer with Ramos at the helm; but ever since Redknapp took the reigns, his importance to the club has been tenfold.

Are Tottenham supporters gutted after hearing this news?
