Tottenham and Everton have never had a grudge against each other, but after today

’s rumour of a move for this German forward, that might change. Could either club really get him to put pen to paper on a transfer move?

Everton and Spurs have emerged as the Premier League frontrunners in the race to capture Germany star Lukas Podolski in January.

The Bayern Munich forward looks set to leave the Allianz Arena after failing to nail down a first team place with the Bundesliga giants.

Spurs and Manchester City reportedly enquired about the £10m-rated striker during the summer and the north Londoners - along with the Toffees - are set to step up their pursuit of the 23-year-old. (Daily Mail)

Either club would be more than happy to have Podolski at their club. He really needs a change of scenery to get back in form. From the looks of things, Everton would be a bit more interesting if he was interested in a race for mid-level domination. And if that’s not his cup of tea, he could always head over to White Hart Lane for a decent relegation battle and a chance to play in the UEFA Cup! Regardless, the one thing he can get at both clubs that he can’t get at Bayern is playing time. That could be the reason why both clubs are in the race for such a massive

name.

What do Everton and Tottenham supporters think about

the rumour? Would you pull the trigger on a move for Podolski?
