Despite the fact that Swedish lothario Sven Goran Eriksson is still “officially” Manchester City boss, Thaksin Shinawatra and his entourage are still vigorously pursuing “Big” Phil Scolari, so claims the Times:
“Manchester City have stepped up their attempts to lure Luiz Felipe Scolari to the club, although the Portugal coach is thought to be demanding £3.9million a year to take over as manager from Sven-Göran Eriksson.”
Scolari is apparently still stroking his chin and mulling his options over, but City officials think that his slowness along with his massive pay demands may be a tactic to scare off Man City. The Scolari camp, however, feel that Man City are the ones playing games with their demands for an answer within a month…
